movement – woven storytelling.
Caution: might be heart-compelling.
LEMOUR is a statement of love for the irresistible magic of storytelling. Our muse is the spark of life, our language is movement: we smoothly play all the cards from clumsy to graceful, so you may fall in love with our charmingly quirky characters. We hear their very personal hurting and turn it towards a miracle, so that our audience will find themselves with a teardrop on their eyelashes but a smile across their heart.
LEMOURstyle:
Physical Theatre
Physical Theatre is the art of telling stories through the body.
Communication primarily happens through movement, instead of spoken language.
our style is
cheeky. wondering.
like an intense dance, bowing to no rule.
now sweet and sensual, now clownish and
untamed.
we love to make the invisible visible and give personality to the magic of life.
By movement-woven storytelling. Stories, that are heart-compelling.
You can picture it a little bit like a silent movie, where aspects of dance, modern clowning, slapstick and drama blend to one vivid genre.
Love and the monkey
Once upon a time, so it is said, there was a monkey. And it was a Lemur – kind of monkey. One fine day, as it was busily collecting the enchantment of unglamorous miracles, the monkey came upon something stunning: a kiss! Placed on its own lips!
A sparkling shiver ran up the monkey’s spine as it realized it was Amour’s kiss: Love itself. Love was asking for a dance.
They danced till they had become one with the pulsation of the heart, one with the life flowing in their veins. They danced until they grasped their purpose and became one with the myths and fairy tales that tell about the core of life. Yes, even until they became a myth themselves.
The monkey was flooded by inspiration that made it’s body sway. It’s toes had already started drumming the ground rhythmically when it shifted its weight and became untamed by gravity.
Shwapsing, zurling, swisheling, curaling, zwantling.
bouncing, swinging, spinning,
falling, rolling.
Speeding, flying, gliding, jerking, wheezing.
Flow infolded the two of them as they danced wholeheartedly, the playful dance of
becoming, giving themselves and
all their sweat, trenched
in passion.
Now they are simply called LEMOUR, that’s how unified Amour and the Lemur became.

They are dancing still, it is said. It is also said, that whoever is touched by LEMOUR, is caressed by timelessness.
